What is ellacor®?

Ellacor® is an innovative, minimally invasive treatment designed to improve skin laxity, wrinkles and overall skin quality without traditional surgery. Using proprietary Micro-Coring® Technology, ellacor® precisely removes microscopic cores of skin while leaving the surrounding tissue largely intact.

Unlike treatments that rely solely on heat or energy to stimulate collagen, ellacor® works by physically removing small amounts of excess skin. The body's natural healing response then helps remodel the treated area, resulting in smoother, firmer and more youthful-looking skin over time.

The lower face is one of the primary treatment areas for ellacor®. By strategically removing microscopic cores of skin, treatment can help improve laxity and soften the appearance of wrinkles throughout the lower face and jawline.

  • Above the knees

  • Stomach

Ellacor® may also be incorporated into customized treatment plans for areas of the body where loose or crepey skin is a concern. A consultation is required to determine whether ellacor® is appropriate for the treatment area.

Results develop gradually as the skin heals and remodels following treatment. Depending on the degree of laxity and the patient's goals, more than one treatment may be recommended.

How does ellacor® work?

Ellacor® uses Micro-Coring® Technology to remove thousands of microscopic columns of skin from the treatment area. These micro-cores are extremely small and are created without the incisions associated with traditional surgery.

Before treatment, the area is carefully assessed, mapped and anesthetized for patient comfort. The ellacor® handpiece is then passed systematically over the treatment area, creating and removing microscopic cores of skin according to a customized treatment pattern.

Because only a small percentage of skin is removed during each treatment, the surrounding untreated skin assists with the healing process. As the micro-cores close and the tissue remodels, the treatment can produce a gradual improvement in skin laxity, wrinkles and texture.

Downtime varies depending on the treatment area and intensity. Redness, swelling, tenderness and temporary changes in the appearance of the treated skin can occur during the healing process. Detailed pre- and post-treatment instructions will be provided during your consultation.

Who is a candidate for ellacor®?

Ellacor® may be appropriate for patients who are concerned with loose skin, wrinkles or early jowling and are looking for an option that is more intensive than many non-invasive treatments but does not involve traditional surgical skin excision.

Not every patient or skin type is an appropriate candidate for ellacor®. A consultation is required to assess your skin, medical history, treatment goals and suitability for Micro-Coring® Technology.

Treatment pricing is based on the area being treated. The price per treatment ranges from $2500+tax - $4500+tax

The number of treatments recommended will depend on the degree of skin laxity, treatment area and individual goals. A personalized treatment plan will be created during your consultation.
